Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. Ector County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- Your device's assigned IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- A referring website, when available
- Date and time data for page requests
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Ector County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach Ector County ID&R, the court clerks, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or third-party record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted to them, and those practices are beyond our control. Read the provider's policy before running a query.
